GCSE Mastery Course Policy 1. Overview The GCSE Computer Science Mastery Course is a structured, small-group programme designed for Year 10 and Year 11 students preparing for their final exams. The course covers all major exam boards — OCR, AQA, and Edexcel — and provides comprehensive support across Paper 1 (Computational Thinking & Programming) and Paper 2 (Systems & Theory). 2. Enrolment and Availability Each group runs with a minimum number of students to ensure interaction and effective learning. Places are limited to maintain small-group support. A waiting list will operate if the class is full. A second group may be opened if demand is high. The tutor reserves the right to cancel or delay the course if minimum numbers are not reached. In this case, any payments made will be fully refunded. 3. Schedule and Flexibility Sessions are typically held once per week (e.g. Saturday mornings). Exact timings will be confirmed before the course begins and may be adjusted in consultation with enrolled students to suit the majority. The final course schedule will be shared via Google Classroom or email before the start date. 4. Payment and Refunds This is a one-off payment made in full before the course begins. Once payment has been received and the course has started, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including non-attendance or withdrawal. If the tutor cancels the course before it begins due to insufficient numbers, a full refund will be provided. Payment confirms enrolment and agreement to this policy. 5. Attendance and Catch-Up Students are expected to attend all live sessions and engage actively. Missed sessions are non-refundable. Lesson slides, homework tasks, and key notes will be shared through Google Classroom for students to review. Students are responsible for catching up on missed content using these resources. 6. Behaviour and Conduct Respectful and positive communication is expected during all sessions. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the course without refund. Parents will be informed of any issues affecting participation or learning. 7. Technology Requirements Students must have access to a computer or laptop, reliable internet connection, and working microphone. Parents are responsible for ensuring students can access online sessions and course materials. 8.
