Consultancy that raises standards

I help schools to develop practical solutions to improve curriculum, inclusion, safeguarding, and digital strategy - that build capacity, coherence, and lasting impact.

My approach supports schools to refine intent, strengthen implementation, and evidence impact in line with Ofsted and statutory expectations.

From department setup and CPD to AI integration and agent training, I bring hands-on experience as a senior leader who understands the realities and pressures of school life - turning improvement priorities into clear, sustainable practice.

What I offer

Consultancy

Personalised support that builds staff confidence and strengthens whole-school systems.

I work with schools and trusts to review, design, and embed sustainable improvements that align with Ofsted’s intent, implementation, and impact model.
Support is fully tailored to your context and priorities, with practical strategies that make a measurable difference.

Typical consultancy projects include:

  • Curriculum and assessment review: (Computer Science, inclusion, or cross-school strategy)

  • Safeguarding audits and practice development

  • Policy writing, evaluation, and improvement planning

  • Bespoke CPD and Leadership Training for staff at all levels

  • Mentoring for new post holders (e.g. DSL, SENCO, or Head of Department, Head of Year/Key Stage)

Each project focuses on clarity, consistency, and capacity, helping your school strengthen systems and staff confidence so improvement continues long after consultancy ends.

Short-term SLT cover

Experienced, solutions-focused leadership when your school needs stability and momentum.

I provide short-term senior or middle leadership cover that ensures continuity, staff confidence, and clear strategic direction during times of change, absence, or restructuring. Schools can depend on me to hit the ground running, build rapport quickly, and maintain focus on priorities without disruption.

Support can include:

  • Acting Head of Department, DSL, or Key Stage Leader cover

  • Leading safeguarding, inclusion, or curriculum improvement work

  • Providing clarity and consistency for staff teams during transition

  • Reviewing and reporting on key areas to inform governors, Ofsted preparation, or school improvement planning

I bring the foresight and flexibility needed to lead confidently in dynamic circumstances - keeping systems moving forward, standards high, and staff supported until permanent leadership is in place.

AI integration and agent training

Strategic, safe, and meaningful use of AI in schools.

With most staff and students already using tools like ChatGPT, many schools are unsure how to harness AI effectively, ethically, and in line with safeguarding and GDPR expectations.

I help schools develop strategy, train staff, and implement AI agents within Google or Microsoft environments to reduce workload and improve efficiency.

Support includes:

  • AI readiness and strategy review

  • Training and configuration of custom AI agents for admin, teaching, or leadership tasks

  • Whole-staff CPD on safe and purposeful AI use

  • Guidance on policy, data protection, and compliance

The aim is not to replace teachers - but to free them. When implemented well, AI can enhance productivity, support decision-making, and strengthen the quality of education through smarter systems and more focused time for people.

Understanding your struggles

Leading a school today means balancing relentless demands - improving outcomes, managing staff wellbeing, meeting accountability frameworks, and staying ahead of rapid change. Even the most experienced leaders can find themselves stretched thin.

Many schools face common challenges such as:

  • Too many competing priorities, with limited time, people, and resources

  • Inconsistent practice across departments or key stages that’s hard to monitor or embed

  • Curriculum intent, implementation, and impact not being clearly evidenced for Ofsted or internal review

  • Staff absence or turnover, leaving leadership or subject areas without stability

  • New post holders in roles like DSL, SENCO, or Head of Department who need guidance and structure

  • Technology and AI developments moving faster than training or confidence levels

  • Pressure to deliver improvement plans while maintaining daily operations and morale

Behind every system or strategy are real people - leaders doing their best for pupils and staff under constant pressure.

My role is to work alongside you to bring clarity, capacity, and calm, helping you strengthen systems, build staff confidence, and achieve measurable, sustainable impact.

My experience

With over 15 years’ experience in education, I’ve worked across teaching, leadership, and advisory roles - developing a deep understanding of how schools operate, how decisions are made, and what truly drives improvement.

My background includes:

  • Experience as Head of Department, Head of Year, Head of Key Stage and Acting Assistant Headteacher:  leading curriculum, safeguarding, and inclusion priorities within diverse and challenging contexts.

  • Ofsted preparation and school improvement: experienced in supporting schools through inspections, including curriculum deep dives, SEF and SIP review, data analysis, and staff readiness. Skilled in developing leadership narratives and ensuring evidence of impact is clear and consistent across departments.

  • Former DSL:  with strong knowledge of statutory frameworks, policy compliance, and multi-agency collaboration.

  • SENCO and inclusion experience: first-hand insight into supporting complex needs, coordinating provision, and embedding inclusive practice across teams.

  • Qualified teacher with over 15 years’ classroom experience: across secondary, post-16, and vocational education.

  • Completed NPQSL: developing strategic leadership, school improvement planning, and accountability systems aligned with Ofsted’s leadership and management criteria.

  • Current Master’s student in SEN and Inclusive Education: ensuring all consultancy work remains research-informed and aligned with national policy, inclusion frameworks, and Ofsted expectations.

This combination of leadership, safeguarding, and inclusion expertise allows me to deliver strategic, evidence-based consultancy that is practical, realistic, and focused on sustainable school improvement.
