SEND Advocacy that empowers parents

I help parents navigate the SEND system with clarity, confidence, and proven success - from securing EHCPs to resolving school or Local Authority issues.

With 15 years’ experience in education and SEN leadership, I provide expert support to achieve outcomes that transform children’s futures.

What I offer

SEND Advocacy

Personalised advocacy that empowers families and achieves results.

For parents who need expert guidance through the SEND process, I offer practical, one-to-one support focused on achieving clear outcomes such as:

  • Securing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Gaining school placements that meet your child’s needs — mainstream, special, or independent

  • Preparing for and attending meetings with schools and the Local Authority

  • Supporting appeals and tribunals with clear evidence and confident representation

  • Accessing health, therapy, or social care services

  • Navigating transitions to college, post-16, or adult services

Each case is fully tailored to your child’s individual needs and circumstances — combining expert knowledge, empathy, and strategic planning to help families feel informed, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

Understanding your struggles

If you’re here, you’ve probably been trying to get your child the support they need - and found the process confusing, exhausting, or unfair.
You’re not alone. Many parents of children with SEND face:

  • Delays and confusion over Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Schools that say they “can’t meet need” or refuse to assess

  • Local Authority pushback or lack of communication

  • Meetings that feel intimidating or one-sided

  • Having to become an expert overnight just to get basic support

  • Feeling unheard, dismissed, or blamed for your child’s challenges

Every child deserves to be understood and supported - and every parent deserves to be treated with respect. My role is to stand beside you, explain your rights clearly, and help you achieve the best possible outcome for your child.

My experience

For over 15 years, I’ve worked alongside parents to navigate the SEND system with confidence and clarity. In addition to advocacy, my background includes:

  • Experience working within school settings in a SENCO role: providing first-hand understanding of how decisions are made, how provision is implemented, and where communication can break down between schools and families.

  • Qualified teacher status with over 15 years’ experience: supporting children and families across mainstream and specialist contexts.

  • Experience as Head of Department, Head of Year, Head of Key Stage and Acting Assistant Headteacher:  leading curriculum, safeguarding, and inclusion priorities within diverse and challenging contexts.

  • Former Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): with in-depth knowledge of safeguarding frameworks and multi-agency working.

  • Current Master’s student in SEN and Inclusive Education: ensuring my practice remains research-informed and aligned with the latest policy and best practice.

This combination of experience and perspective allows me to offer both empathy and results — helping families feel listened to, understood, and empowered to achieve outcomes they never thought possible.

I’ve successfully supported families to:

  • Secure Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), including funding for specialist support

  • Get the school placements they want - mainstream, special, or independent

  • Prepare for and attend meetings with schools, professionals, and the Local Authority

  • Appeal decisions and represent themselves effectively at SEND Tribunals

  • Access therapy and health services, and coordinate care across agencies

  • Support young people up to age 25, including college transitions and preparing for adulthood

Parents I work with often tell me they finally feel listened to, understood, and empowered- and that they’ve achieved outcomes they never thought possible.
