My experience
For over 15 years, I’ve worked alongside parents to navigate the SEND system with confidence and clarity. In addition to advocacy, my background includes:

Experience working within school settings in a SENCO role: providing first-hand understanding of how decisions are made, how provision is implemented, and where communication can break down between schools and families.

Qualified teacher status with over 15 years’ experience: supporting children and families across mainstream and specialist contexts.

Experience as Head of Department, Head of Year, Head of Key Stage and Acting Assistant Headteacher: leading curriculum, safeguarding, and inclusion priorities within diverse and challenging contexts.

Former Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): with in-depth knowledge of safeguarding frameworks and multi-agency working.

Current Master’s student in SEN and Inclusive Education: ensuring my practice remains research-informed and aligned with the latest policy and best practice.
This combination of experience and perspective allows me to offer both empathy and results — helping families feel listened to, understood, and empowered to achieve outcomes they never thought possible.
