Provide practical teaching strategies for programming and theory Share classroom-ready methods for teaching coding, algorithms, and complex theory in ways that are clear, engaging, and accessible. Support schools with assessment, coursework, marking, and raising exam performance Strengthen teacher confidence in assessing programming tasks, marking coursework, and preparing students to succeed in written exams. Offer CPD that boosts staff confidence and student outcomes Deliver targeted professional development that equips staff with practical strategies to improve teaching quality and raise attainment. Share strategies for inclusion, motivation, and increasing uptake of CS Provide proven approaches to engage girls, SEND students, and underrepresented groups while growing uptake at GCSE and A-level. Strengthen teaching and learning in Computer Science Support schools to embed sustainable, high-quality Computer Science provision that raises standards across the department. Support recruitment and retention of teachers through mentoring, training, and capacity building Help schools attract and retain staff by offering long-term professional growth, mentoring, and leadership development.


Cancellation Policy

This policy outlines how consultancy services are delivered to ensure a professional, transparent, and high-quality experience for schools, trusts, and education providers. Purpose My consultancy work supports schools to strengthen curriculum, safeguarding, inclusion, and digital strategy through practical, evidence-based solutions. Each project aims to build capacity, coherence, and sustainable impact aligned with Ofsted and statutory expectations. Scope of Service Consultancy may include: Curriculum, assessment, and inclusion reviews Safeguarding audits and policy development Bespoke CPD and leadership training Mentoring for new post holders (e.g. DSL, SENCO, Head of Department) AI strategy, integration, and staff training All support is tailored to your school’s context and improvement priorities. Booking and Payment Projects are agreed and confirmed in advance. Fees are clearly stated before work begins and invoiced by session, day, or project. Payment is due on receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed. Once consultancy has been delivered, payments are non-refundable. Cancellations and Rescheduling A minimum of 5 working days’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations may incur charges for time reserved and preparation completed. If I need to reschedule, advance notice will be given, and a new date offered. Confidentiality and Data Protection All information shared is treated as confidential and handled in line with UK GDPR. Documents and data are securely stored and deleted after project completion unless otherwise agreed. Safeguarding and Professional Standards As a qualified teacher and former Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), I uphold national safeguarding standards. All work aligns with Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children. Professional Boundaries Consultancy provides advice and support; implementation remains the school’s responsibility. Recommendations are practical, evidence-based, and context-specific. All communication is professional, respectful, and solutions-focused. Feedback and Complaints If concerns arise, please raise them directly so they can be addressed promptly. Formal complaints can be sent to info@thecomputerscienceteacher.com and will be acknowledged within five working days. Policy Review This policy is reviewed regularly and updated to reflect best practice and changes in legislation.
